After surprising news broke earlier in the year that actor Jimmi Simpson would be returning for the second season of HBO’s Westworld, even more intriguing news has popped up.
Ben Barnes, who plays William’s old pal Logan, will also be making at least one appearance in forthcoming episodes.
“I definitely have heard [from the Westworld crew] because I can tell you that I have been on set at least once already,” he admitted to Screen Rant last week during a chat about his role in Marvel’s The Punisher.
Hmm, we wonder how Logan and young William will fit into the show’s already quite complex timeline now, given the revelations about the pair in the first season? Perhaps a flashback or two? We’ll have to wait and see.
Although filming has been underway for a while, production on Westworld‘s second season was recently suspended due to a cast member’s medical emergency.
“Due to a medical emergency involving a performer in a recurring role on season 2 of Westworld, filming on one of the two units has been temporarily suspended,” HBO said in a details-light statement. “The cast member was not on set when this occurred, and out of respect for the performer’s privacy, we have no additional details to share, other than that everyone at Westworld sincerely hopes for a quick recovery.”
We’ll bring you more news as it emerges.
