Back in January, the Atlanta trio Migos was having trouble booking appearances on late night television, even with a burgeoning hit on their hands in “Bad And Boujee.” Then, Donald Glover mentioned the track on The Golden Globes and everything changed, and now, four months later, they’re standing besides a bonafide pop superstar on Saturday Night Live‘s massive season finale.
Katy Perry had Quavo, Takeoff and Offset join her for the performance of their track “Bon Appétit,” and things immediately got a little wonky. Katy laid on a table as the centerpiece of a platter while Migos and some guests wined and dined as she belted out the track. Much like the song’s video, it was peculiar, but demanded your full attention, so, mission accomplished I guess?
Eventually, Katy was joined on the table by a few dancers, and each member of the Migos one by one. Like just about every other time the trio makes an appearance, their attire had to be seen to be believed, with Quavo’s pink jacket just edging out the victory over Takeoff and Offset’s own pink or salmon threads.
Check out Katy and the Migos’ performance of “Bon Appétit” above and preorder Witness before it hits retailers on June 9th here.
