Bayley Insisted She Was Ready for Asuka, But Was She Really?

After Asuka took down Sasha Banks last week, this week she went against Banks’s best friend — Bayley. Now, this is not the first time these two have gone head to head. Back when they were in NXT, Asuka won the women’s title off of Bayley in an impressive match. Seeing the two face each other on RAW had a lot of potential.

I do need to mention the promo before the match with Bayley and Banks. We got to see a more aggressive Bayley as she consoled Banks, which was pretty cool. I like that Bayley is still largely a baby face, but that doesn’t mean creative can’t make her a little meaner. It was a good promo, and I can see the sparks of a Bayley/Banks feud starting.

The match started with a bang, and Bayley went all in.

She managed to knock Asuka out of the ring a few times and was able to pin her more than once. But Asuka is still billed as the toughest woman in the WWE.

In the end, Asuka’s undefeated streak went untouched. This was an excellent match, though, and I would love to see these two go toe to toe for the title once again.
