Sledgehammer Games has released a new trailer for Call of Duty: WWII focused on the multiplayer aspect of the upcoming entry in the immensely popular franchise. The Call of Duty series may be the closest thing to a action movie blockbuster franchise that the gaming industry has, with 13 entries of first person shooting mayhem. The series has shifted from old-fashioned early 20th century settings to multiple outings built on slick, modern warfare missions. In the 14th entry, the series will return to its older wartime roots.
Thanks to E3 2017, we have a new look at WWII, in particular the multiplayer modes of the new game. Being the first entry of the Call of Duty franchise to be set in World War II since 2008’s World at War, the game looks like an interesting blend of modern gameplay and nostalgic recollection of the earliest entries in the franchise.
